This is the opinion of Sophie Corlett, director of external relations at the charity Mind, who pointed out that conditions such as Alzheimers are common in the UK.
She believes that mental health issues continue to remain a taboo and if famous faces discuss the matter, it can ensure that more people are made aware of what it is like for those who have to wear Alzheimers medical alert jewellery.
'It can help educate people about mental health and help others to realise that they are not alone and that people from all walks of life can be affected,' Ms Corlett explained.
